Rescued Manatees Released at Blue Spring State Park
Greetings! Here’s some awesome manatee news for you. Three rescued manatees that were orphaned were successfully rehabilitated at SeaWorld Orlando for two years. And these marine mammals were just released at Blue Spring State Park located in Orange City, Florida.
The manatees were brought to a healthy weight of 600 pounds before they could be released at Blue Spring and the St. Johns River. After they were released, they will be monitored “for a year using satellite tags to ensure their well-being.”
